“Fantastic Fibers” is the new show at the Madison and Main Gallery. This extraordinary summer show begins July 1 and runs through August 30. So come into the gallery to experience what the world of fibers has to offer. There are new creations from felted sculptures and jewelry to hand dyed and hand painted scarves; from tapestries and quilted wall pieces to photography printed on fabric; from fabulous hats to wearable art of all kinds. The gallery members will have new pieces featuring embroidery, basketry, paper, and ceramics.
The First Friday celebration for June 7 at the Madison and Main Gallery will feature a demonstration by 2 of our guest artists, Peg Peppler and Jane Peterson. They will show us their process for making Wire Trees. Join us to learn about these beautiful creations!
“The Enchanted Garden” is the theme for the 32nd Annual Garden Show at the Madison and Main Gallery. This extraordinary spring show begins April 29 and runs through June 28. So swing into the gallery to experience the new creations from magic wands and dragons eyes to brightly colored pottery and paintings. Cornelia Davis will be demonstrating the process of making vessels from magazine pages. Lisa Arata will be converting old necklaces into “new” bracelets. Gin and Jane Leuchter will help you make a little book to take with you from the papers of Lydia Ruyle’s art proofs.
The Gallery’s show for March and April is “New Life – Creative Reuse” which features eleven guest artists who are using the concepts of reuse, recycle, and repurpose. Their new work includes paintings, assemblage, photography, illustrations, mixed media pieces, and jewelry of all kinds.
Meeker Elementary will be the school whose art is featured at the gallery for the District 6 Art Walk. The student’s art will be exhibited through the month of March.

"Beat the Winter Blues," Madison & Main Gallery's new show will feature ten guest artists and five new gallery artists. All of the gallery and guest artists have been busy beating their winter blues with the creation of wonderful and unique artwork of all types, including art-to-wear, photography, paintings, ceramics and more.

On First Friday, February 2, the Madison and Main Gallery is open until 8 pm. There will be an artist demonstration from 5:30 – 7:30 pm by Laura McElfresh about Watercolor Batik. This is a process that involves layers of hot wax, and watercolor paint applied to rice paper. Once the layers of paint and wax are applied, the paper is crumpled and a final coat of paint is applied which seeps into the cracks of wax on the paper. The wax is then melted off of the paper, revealing the painting beneath. This creates a distinctive look like no other! This is a demonstration not to miss!
